Confidentiality
At Lotus, we believe that it is a huge risk to allow yourself to be vulnerable and go through the process as your own authentic self. The standards of practise require Registered Social Workers to hold in strict confidence all information about clients. There are some exceptions that require a duty to report:
Disclosure that you may be at risk of harm to yourself or others or know of someone that is
Disclosure of possible abuse and/or neglect of a child under the age of 18
Disclosure of sexual abuse by a regulated health professional
Subpoena of records by the court of law
Additionally, to ensure that you receive the highest quality of care, some content of the session may be consulted about in clinical peer supervision.
Confidentiality: Welcome
